Getting Started

This guide aims to help anyone, regardless of prior knowledge, build a combat robot from start to finish.

Since it is targeted for beginners, some more advanced topics are purposely left out. If you are interested in elevating your robot, there are plenty of other resources such as AskAaron and JustCuzRobotics (just to name a few).

Additionally, we assume that you will be using the parts that we provide. However, you are not restricted to these parts; feel free to purchase and utilize your own parts. The most important thing is that your completed bot follows our rules.

Timeline

Below are the general steps of the bot-building process:

  1. Brainstorm
  2. 3D Design + Printing
  3. Assemble Electronics
  4. Upload Code
  5. Fight

On the side, you can navigate directly to specific sections of the documentation. This guide is designed so that you can go through the pages in order.

NOTE: This website is still very much a work in progress. Some pages may still be under construction or out of date. If you ever have questions, feel free to reach out to us on Discord!
